Delamere Air Weapons Range is a 21,120ha facility located 120km south of Katherine.

The property is the main air weapons range used by the Royal Australian Air Force for high explosive target practice, as well as inert explosives and light weapons gunnery practice.

DDRIC has been engaged by Lend Lease to install epoxy flooring systems to 11 new buildings and a helipad.

The scope includes:

• Floor surface preparation by grinding and high pressure water washing.
• Installation of epoxy flooring.
• Internal line marking.
• Application of sealant on broom finished concrete.

Highlights

• DDRIC had to co-ordinate with multiple trades onsite throughout the works.
• The project involved works located in Defence property containing explosive ordnance and with live Defence airspace.
• Delamere was a new build project, where the floor works were conducted with the internals exposed to the elements.
