Project Description

The project comprised the installation and construction of a new HV tyre dome servicing area and tool storage facility at Fortescue’s Christmas Creek mine in the Pilbara region of WA.

The scope of works included the installation of new shed facilities and also the installation of cyclone rated domes and shelter structures.

Project HIGHLIGHTS

  • Challenges faced during the execution of the project included securing the supply chain and mobilisation of the team within two weeks of the award and coordinating shift change to allow for tarping to be completed during low wind periods as a result of unexpected weather conditions.
  • Working collaboratively with both the client and other SMEs on site to complete the work safely and efficiently.
